We moved into a new home, need some decorating tips?

We just moved into a new home. Not a big place, but the main entrance foyer area is big and wide open, where you can see to up the second floor. We love it and it gives the great illusion of more space.The problem is our entry foyer closet, it protrudes out and now we’re left with decisions on what to put on top the closet.
We cannot put plants, unless fake, because it would be a pain to try and water them.
The top of the closet platform is around 6′ by 3′. My wife is suggesting something on the back wall above the closet, but I would prefer something directly on the top platform, something decorative and possibly sound absorbing too, as sound from the bonus room on the 2nd floor carries into the entrance foyer quite well.

In de muls Ik heb veel van Hosta's, daffidill planten en enkele andere soort plant. Het probleem is dat mijn Hosta's zijn uit de hand. Ze zijn ontzettend gigantische! Ze zijn overgrowing mijn stappen en andere planten. Mijn muls gebied lijkt weg te druk vanwege mijn Hosta's. Ik denk dat ik te dun ze uit, maar hoe doe ik dat? Eventuele andere suggesties?
